# KITTEN Token

## KITTEN Token

KITTEN is the emissions token in our protocol.

It can be locked into veKITTEN for voting power, or converted in xKITTEN after [Phase 3](/kittenswap/tokenomics/our-vision-tri-token-model.md#phase-3).

## veKITTEN NFT Token

veKITTEN is an NFT, which is locked for up to 4 years and grants 1:1 voting power.

### Post-Phase 3

It will continue to hold 1:1 voting power alongside xKITTEN.

## xKITTEN Token (Phase 3) 

xKITTEN are non-transferable tokens holding 1:1 voting power.

It can be vested into:

* KITTEN
  * 75% fee to vest instantly from xKITTEN to KITTEN
  * or, vest linearly from 25% to 100% KITTEN over 26 weeks (minimum of 2 weeks)
    * if vesting is less than 26 weeks, subsequent non-vested xKITTEN will be converted into veKITTEN for veKITTEN rebase
* veKITTEN
  * vest instantly for 1:1 veKITTEN
